Last weekend was the 26th annual Street Parade, the most attended technoparade in Europe. It takes place very year in Zurich, Switzerland, with the parade following a path around Lake Zurich. It is something BattleDad and I have been fortune to attend and it was absolutely amazing.
It was one of the most peaceful, yet exciting, techno events I’ve ever attended, if you say those two things in the same sentence about anything techno! We were in Zurich with friends for the weekend and, by chance, it was the weekend of Street Parade. We went down to the Lake early enough on the Saturday to get a spot to watch the parade. And we weren’t disappointed.
The floats, costumes and music were everything we could have hoped for and more. And there were plenty of kids around, some even in elaborate costumes, taking part in the parade. One day we will return with BattleKid. But for now, I’ll share a few pictures from our visit in 2010.
