November turned out to be a bit of a quiet month. Between our Bluestone trip in October and getting ready for our first family trip to Disneyland Paris, we didn’t get up to much. However, there were still a few pictures of me for this month’s Be in the Picture.
We had visits to the playground on our park and I managed a picture with BattleDog.
We went dragon hunting at Castro Marim one Saturday with my parents and there was a market in town, which we visited afterwards. There were a few food stalls and one was selling churros. So, we had to have one and it was my first! They were delicious. I can see why my nephew loves them.
We spent a few quiet weekend at home and made use fo the time by watching Disney films in preparation for our trip at the beginning of December. As we don’t have a microwave (we’ve no counter space for one), I make popcorn the old fashioned way; in a pot with oil. And we love it with films!
We also had to try on BattleKid’s costumes for Disney to make sure none were either too small or too big. However, he wasn’t keen on a selfie with Mum.
BattleDad and I went as far as Faro to drop our car off for its service. While we were there we decided to visit Praia de Faro and had an impromptu breakfast date. Faro beach is lovely, like many of the beaches in the Algarve.
My last picture of the month was taken while BattleKid had a danger nap. He was exhausted after school one day, contributed by two bad night’s sleeps and was like a bag of cats when he woke up. It took my Dad bribing him to stop the 30 minute screaming match that ensued after I woke him for dinner. The trials and tribulations of parenthood.
And there you have it, my November Be in the Picture post. December will see me complete a whole year of these posts and I’m quite proud of them.
Be in the Picture is a way to encourage us to get in front of the camera instead of always being behind it. I’m guilty of this and by joining in with Be in the Picture, it ensures BattleKid will have pictures of me as well of himself when he grows up.
