Wanderlust Kids #1

As many of you will know we are a family that likes to travel.

Before BattleKid came along my hubby and I went away several times a year, from typical beach holidays to city breaks, we loved to travel.

There is nothing nicer than getting away from it all and discovering new places, people and culture around the world. Some of our favourite places have been close to home but it’s a big world and there are so many corners of it we are yet to discover and see.

So when BattleKid came along we quickly decided, with a little inspiration from our sister, that he was just going to have to come along with us. Having a baby was not going to stop us from travelling the world and seeing new places and dare I say it we’ve become a bit more adventurous since BattleKid came along.

We have done quite a few beach holidays with him and some city breaks as well as weekend stay-cations in the UK and even ventured as far as New York with him last September.

And it’s not going to stop there.

I love reading about other peoples adventures with their children and love to see where they are going and what they thought of it afterwards. It sometimes inspires me to think further outside the box when planning our family days out or holidays.

With that in mind I decided to start a new Instagram community and also a linky so others can share their posts about travelling with kids. The idea for Wanderlust Kids was born.

Throughout the month you can use #WanderlustKids on your Instagram photos which involve travelling with kids. While this hashtag is not completely new, it is barely used, so I’d like to build a community around it and get more people tagging their wanderlust kids with it.

These photos can be abroad, home or days out, so long as they feature your children and have a travel theme attached with it. Each week I will pick my favourites to showcase.

On the 1st of each month the ‘Wanderlust Kids’ linky will open for you to link up a post, old or new, which involves travelling with kids. It can be about a day out, a family holiday, somewhere new your children discovered or a post with tips about travelling with kids.

As long as it features kids and is travel based it can be linked up. And please feel free to include your older kids as there isn’t an age limit for the term ‘kids’. The following month I will feature some of my favourites, linking back to the owner’s blog.

So, if you’d like to join in add your post via the link up button below, and also use #WanderlustKids on your Instagram photos. Please note, there will be a badge to add to your posts from next month once I sort out some technical issues with it.

I look forward to reading your posts, maybe gaining some inspiration, and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment.
