In Janaury 2019 I was honoured to be asked to co-host the Fearless Family Travel linky with Leona from Wandermust Family and Jenny from Travelynn Family. They had been running this awesome travel link up for two years and were looking to have some additional hosts come on board. Also joining was Nicky from Go Live Young and together we would be hosting the linky fortnightly in conjunction with Lonely Planet Kids. When Jenny left we were joined by Kirsty from World for a Girl.
Each fortnight we would pick our favourite blog post linked up and the winner would receive one of the brilliant Lonely Planet Kids books from the range available. I must admit I was very jealous of our winners as the books look amazing. We have one or two Lonely Planet Kids books at home and they are brilliant, ideal for little wanderlusters.
However, with the global pandemic, everything got put on hold. Travel linkys were stopped, naturally, and with no-one really travelling it didn’t feel right to us to continue. I am unsure if this will start up again once things settle down and travel opens up again, but I do hope so.
Favourite blog posts from the Fearless Family Travel link up
As part of the #fearlessfamtrav link up, and as mentioned already, each fortnight, we would feature our favourites in a round up post. Here are all of the blog posts that were top picks whilst I co-hosted:
Trans Pennine Trail with our kids: Liverpool to Sheffield (Eco Family Travel)
Tokyo’s Hidden Tropics: Exploring Japan’s Niijima Island (Happy Place Hunters)
Hiking in Malhamdale, Yorkshire (The Travelling Wilbennetts)
Towers in Italy to climb for a great view (Smudged Postcard)
Day Out in Denmark | Tour the Danish Royal Residence at Fredensborg Palace (Oregon Girl Around The World)
A Family Adventure In Boston, USA (Part Two) (Picture-taker Memory Maker)
28 Books to Inspire Travel (Ladies What Travel)
A Festive Afternoon Tea in London – Grosvenor House’s Nutcracker Afternoon Tea (Ladies What Travel)
Why not grab a cuppa, pop over to each of these great blogs and have a read of the posts. I’m sure it’ll inspire you to start researching for your next travel adventures.
And for more inspiration, the Instagram hashtag #fearlessfamtrav is still running with lots of fab travel-themed pictures linked up there.
